Raphael House is dedicated to ending homelessness. We tailor services for each family to provide them with the necessary support, education, and skills to assist them in obtaining housing, employment and self-sufficiency. Our Bridge Program offers aftercare services that include career development services, case management services, and children’s services to families outside of our residential shelter program. Case management services are focused on providing ongoing outreach and resource referrals to help clients maintain family stability. Career development services offer employment, education, and financial guidance.

Under the supervision of the Director of Family Services, the Bilingual Family Stability Specialist is responsible for providing case management services to Bridge families and career development services to onsite shelter residents and clients in the Bridge Program. The Bilingual Family Stability Specialist will work collaboratively with both Residential and Bridge Program staff to develop a comprehensive client-centered action plan for each family that includes, but is not limited to, case management and career development services leading towards financial independence and ongoing family stability.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Case Management and Career Development Services_
- Be thoroughly knowledgeable of the mission and operating principles of Raphael House.
- Maintain a caseload of 10-20 active Career Development Services participants at any given time which will include both Residential and Bridge clients, with the goal of achieving Career Development Services annual operating plan objectives.
- Maintain a Bridge Case Management caseload (which will vary) with the goal of supporting families in the Bridge Program in achieving and maintaining stability.
- If ever needed, support the shelter program by temporarily carrying a caseload of Residential Case Management families.
- Triage all phone inquiries received through the Bridge Intake Line. Provide internal and external referrals and effectively follow phone pre-screening procedures and assess eligibility criteria.
- Monitor progress on agency goals and outcomes to ensure the team is on track to meet outlined annual objectives.
- When available, manage and oversee direct aid to families, including the distribution of funding and tracking expenses to adhere to grant restrictions. Assist with grant reporting when requested.
- Provide support to any interns assigned to Career Development Services and/or Bridge Case Management and monitor their progress in supporting the agency’s annual objectives.
- Ensure all Career Development Services and Bridge Case Management data are accurately entered in the Apricot database and tracked in spreadsheets, hard files are kept according to guidelines, and data is entered in a timely manner. Meet all data entry deadlines.
- Maintain consistent Career Development and Bridge Case Management meetings, scheduling one-on-one appointments on a regular basis and as needed to provide emotional support and coaching along with identifying and addressing career development and/or case management needs.
- Conduct client assessments for Career Development and Bridge Case Management Services for Residential and Bridge clients. This includes conducting pre-employment assessments, developing educational goals, employment preparation and retention, and addressing barriers to stability.
- Support clients with financial literacy by developing budgets, reviewing credit reports, and developing plans to address debt and credit issues. Proactively refer to credit counseling services as needed.
- Help families develop realistic housing goals, achieve rental readiness, conduct housing searches, and negotiate with landlords.
