The FAST Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the Family Assessment Support Team (FAST) In-Home Services Program and Family Care staff, who provide direct services and engagement to the children and families at risk of a removal episode. The FAST Supervisor mentors and supports Family Care staff to engage families by providing strength-based and solution-focused services aimed at restoring families in crisis to an acceptable level of functioning and ensuring the protection of unsafe children that are at risk of abuse or neglect.

As appropriate, the FAST Supervisor works closely with the Clinical Engagement Specialists, who provides and/or oversees clinical services to the family, to help the family remain intact.
- Supervises Family Care Staff in the delivery of services
- Ensures case management and family preservation services are provided to families in crisis
- Monitors and ensures that Family Care Staff home visits timeliness
- Evaluates staff performance and consults with HR when performance issues arise
- Review initial risk and safety assessment prepared by Family Care Staff to determine if program is appropriate for family
- Review initial assessment prepared by Family Care Staff to determine if the service plan is appropriate for the family
- Connects family with all appropriate community services
- Ensures that Family Care Staff follows up on case needs
- Helps facilitates Family Team Meetings as needed and appropriate
- Monitors all documentation for quality
- Monitors child and family progress in the implementation and execution of the preservation plan
- Communicates with Clinical Engagement Specialists, Family Care Managers, Case Managers and Family Advocates
- Provides support in the field as needed to ensure child safety
- Assures that policies and procedures of the program are maintained
- Provides staff supervision through weekly, individual meetings and group conferences
- Assist staff in analyzing case problems and in improving their diagnostic and helping skills
- Reviews case records for accuracy and thoroughness and evaluates staff performance.
- Recommends corrective action, if needed
- Assists with the development and ongoing tracking of the program to ensure goals and outcome are being met
- Provides leadership and guidance to staff in keeping with the program?s mission, contract requirements, and DCF?s practices
- Represents agency in community and interagency activities
- Provides Program Director with a monthly case management report

**Requirements**:

- **Bachelor?s degree in social work or related human services field, 2+ years of child welfare experience**:

- **Active Child Welfare Certification in good standing required**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient in computer programs and software

**Salary: TBD based upon relevant education and experience.
