Cannabis Packaging Technician

**Job description**

The Cannabis Packaging Technician will be responsible for weighing, filling, packaging, capping, and labeling activities related to cannabis product manufacturing. The Cannabis Packaging Technician will work directly under the direct management of the Packaging Supervisor on all aspects of finished goods packaging operations. Detailed recordkeeping and strict adherence to the company's standard operating procedures and compliance with the state regulations are essential for this position.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

- Responsible for weighing and filling cannabis products into child resistant packaging, including capping, induction seals, and labeling duties. Some of the steps are manual and some are performed using automatic or semi-automatic production equipment. All finished goods are either bulked stored or packaged into shipping containers.
- Ensures all inventory is managed properly in the company's inventory software in strict compliance with State of CT cannabis regulations.
- Builds shipper boxes, organizes the packaging are, cleans and sanitizes work area as part of line clearance and at the end of the workday.
- Assists other departments as needed.

Skills/Competencies required:

- Experience with cannabis packaging duties in a commercial facility.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills
- Maintains a positive working relationship with office and production employees.
- Attention to detail and an ability to work quickly, accurately, and independently.
- Works collaboratively in a team environment to accomplish company objectives with either direct or indirect authority.
- Excellent prioritization, planning, organization, time management and multitasking skills.

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

- Cannabis packaging experience preferred
- Must have reliable transportation
- Forklift certification preferred
- Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations related to packaging is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain an orderly work area.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
