Construction Heavy Duty Repairman

Foundation is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Heavy Duty Repairman in their Southern CA location. This position reports to our Master Mechanic and is the principal resource supporting the Equipment and Yard Supervisors for our field operations.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to work independently and communicate with direct supervisor on a day-to-day basis regarding equipment needs and repairs
- Be able to supply personal hand and air tools up to ¾” drive, as well as basic electrical and hydraulic testing tools. Specialty tools will be provided by the company.
- Willingness to travel around Southern CA to various jobsites and possibly stay out of town overnight for multiple days, as needed
- Contribute to the training and development of the proper operation, utilization and care of the company’s equipment and related assets
- Working knowledge of common carriers in regards to insurance requirements, loading practices, or damages to company equipment.
- The ability to develop and work through a variety of office, field, supplier, and direct employee relationships to support the effective utilization of equipment and the timely needs of each project.
Additional Requirements:
- At least 5 years’ experience working on heavy construction equipment
- Must have a clean driving record and be a member of Operating Engineers Local 12, or willing to become a member
