Job Summary:
The Estimator focuses on the task of Estimating to build the foundation necessary to begin learning Project Management duties. As estimates and bids can be completed independently on a level of consistent competency, Project Management responsibilities will be included into this role. Supervised directly by a Project Manager, this position allows for growth via a tracked training process that can lead to Assistant Project Management duties and eventually Project Management.

Job Duties:

- Take-offs_
- Independently gather information from bid invitations necessary to produce an accurate job bid.
- Review all specifications to determine products necessary to bid.
- Review blueprints electronically on On-Screen Takeoff Software.
- Consider spectrum of values for assemblies, decide on most appropriate production rates, input chosen rates from assemblies into Quickbid Software, and conduct take-off task assignments to completion.
- Estimating_
- Accurately prepare estimates based on material usage, manpower, equipment, and general conditions as required for the job as part of the required business operations.
- Estimate costs associated with the scope of work by breaking down each phase and category as outlined on the print.
- Generate detailed proposals that accurately define scope of work and job costs.
- Sales Support_
- Perform the job estimation and job bidding process as delegated by our sales team.
- Communicate with customers of our sales team when necessary.
- Collaborate with project managers and office team to improve efficiency of sales processes including estimating, follow up calls and project management.

Job Requirements:

- Ability to work with Project Managers to develop detailed estimates of all building types
- Maintain working knowledge of current products and costs
- Ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline
- driven environment
- Experience and proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff Estimating Software preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to work with Project Managers, clients, and other office personnel
- Minimum 1+ year experience with Estimating in the painting field
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills

Pay is commensurate with experience.

Classification: Exempt / Full-Time / Salary

Pay: From $42,000.00 per year
