**Responsibilities**:
**Position Summary**:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team, specializing in providing individualized care to patients requiring angiographic diagnostic evaluation and potential intervention in the Angiosuite. This role emphasizes the assessment of healthcare needs, implementation of therapeutic treatment, and the ability to anticipate, recognize, and intervene in adverse effects of procedures or medical conditions to ensure positive patient outcomes. The Angiosuite Registered Nurse is responsible for patient/family education to promote optimal healthcare status upon discharge.
**Responsibilities**:
1. Patient Care:
- Perform the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe and therapeutic care for patients in the Angiosuite.
- Ensure safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients during all phases of care, including preprocedure, procedure, and postprocedure.
2. Adverse Event Management:
- Anticipate, recognize, and intervene in adverse effects of procedures or medical conditions promptly.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to address and resolve complications as needed.
3. Patient/Family Education:
- Provide comprehensive patient and family education to promote optimal healthcare status upon discharge.
- Ensure understanding of post-procedure care and follow-up instructions.
4. Technical Skills:
- Utilize professional and technical skills to maintain a high standard of patient care in the Angiosuite.
- Operate specialized equipment and tools with proficiency.
5. Age-Appropriate Care:
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to patients in the department.
6. Collaboration and Reporting:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Report to the Angiosuite Director and work under the oversight of Nursing. Schedule: Part-Time: 24 hours per week, minimum 2 days on-call, and one weekend call per month.

**Required Qualifications**:
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
- Current CA RN license.
- BLS and ACLS required.
- Completion of an advanced dyshythmia course within six months of hire.
- Completion of advanced hemodynamic monitoring class within six months of hire.
- Completion of an intra-aortic balloon pump class within six months of hire.
- Minimum two years of recent Critical Care/ED/PACU experience and/or Cath Lab/IR experience.
- Completion of Moderate Sedation education and competency.
- Completion of yearly supplemental competency validation.
- Completion of 10 CEUs yearly related to Angiographic Catheterization Nursing preferred.
- Certification in Midline/PICC line placement preferred.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in this department. Knowledge of growth and development over the life span. Knowledge of dysrhythmias and appropriate interventions. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Must speak, read and write English. Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Can work in a team based environment.
