National Counseling Group is seeking to hire Community Regional Crisis Response Counselors immediately to provide intensive short-term mental health care to non-hospitalized individuals experiencing an acute crisis of psychiatric nature. The Crisis Counselors will assess serious mental illnesses, co-occurring substance use and provide crisis stabilization services to adolescents, children and adults who are at imminent risk. Must be registered with the Department of Health Professionals as both a QMHP-C and QMHP-A or Licensed or Licensed Eligible.

**Essential Responsibilities**:
**Travel Required**
- Provide community based mobile crisis intervention and case management services to families within the community who are suffering from psychotic crises with the sole purpose of providing stabilization and preventing hospitalization.
- Provide assessment, treatment planning, direct counseling, case management, discharge planning and follow-up to families experiencing mental health crises.
- Will have scheduled and flexible availability.
- Provide comprehensive written and verbal documentation as required.
- Work individually and within a team setting.
- Travel throughout community and potentially to local sites (Loudoun County, Fairfax, Alexandria, Prince William County & Arlington)
- Facilitates wraparound team meetings to enlist existing supports in determining and meeting service objectives and to identify additional resources and supports.
- Prepares written service plan, incorporating input from clients, involved service providers, and wraparound team members, and clearly identifying problem areas and needs, strategies, and service objectives.

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s Degree in the human services field from an accredited college or university with at least one year of clinical experience with children or adolescents.
- Current licensed, license eligibility or both QMHP-C and QMHP A registration from the Virginia Department of Health Professions and able to successfully complete the required pre-employment screenings.
- Due to travel requirements must have valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
