Wastewater Operator

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Perform duties necessary to maintain compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory requirements regarding incoming plant water, wastewater and NPDES storm water.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

**Reports to**:
Lead Wastewater Operator

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to attain knowledge of water, wastewater and NPDES storm water operations.
- Requires moderate physical exertion.
- Possess a valid Class 1 Wastewater License in the state of Delaware or upon approval by State Office.
- Valid Driver's License

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Monitor water, wastewater and storm water systems and perform corrective action as needed.

2. Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment.

3. Reports any equipment malfunctions to the Lead Wastewater Operator.

4. Perform test on water, wastewater and storm water in accordance with proper procedures.

5. Monitor and record flow meter readings and calculate daily flows.

6. Follow proper procedures in obtaining all types of water samples.

7. Maintain equipment used to perform testing and obtaining water samples.

8. Perform sampling on monitoring wells, house water wastewater and storm water.

9. Adheres to all common safety policies and procedures, including the wearing of protective clothing and equipment as required..

10. Responsible for following all Company and Government policies and procedures.

12. Adheres to common safety practices and rules; including wearing protective equipment and clothing as required.

13. Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Pay: $21.22 - $27.13 per hour
