Screed Operator

Description
- Installation of asphalt pavement.
- Follow directions of foreman as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or job site
- Assist construction / paving crew with various duties such as; shoveling, raking, and operating equipment
- Assist in the placement, moving, and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices
- Take matters seriously in safety functions including personal safety, traffic control management, and toolbox safety meeting requirements.
- Will perform other job duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Need to be able to operate all pieces of equipment associated with asphalt paving.
- Experience with asphalt paving, curb & gutter, roadway slabs, sidewalks, and ADA compliant walkways

Physical Demands
- Lift heavy objects, up to 100 lbs. Sit or stand for long periods of time. Good dexterity of two or more limbs (for example, fingers, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting or standing. Specialized protective and safety equipment as needed.
- Physical Capacity Level: 4 Heavy Work.

Education and/or Experience
- 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- Asphalt: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Driver's License (preferred)
