**What will I do as a Dishwasher with Messiah Lifeways?**
- Washes dishes by hand or places them in a dishwashing machine.
- Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
- Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
- Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
- Transfers supplies and equipment within and between storage and work areas such as
pantry and dish room.
- Cleans equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
- May wash pots and pans and polishes silver
- Follows daily/weekly cleaning assignments to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen.
- Assists other care team members as needed and qualified.
- Maintains a positive, friendly and compassionate attitude while in the presence of
residents, family members and other Messiah Lifeways staff.
- Utilizes safety devices and follows safety precautions. Inspects all pieces of equipment
prior to use for structural integrity and communicates any concerns to the manager.
