Lotus Noire Health is a Black Woman Nurse Practitioner owned primary care clinic. We focus on the particular health needs of Black, Brown, LGBTQ+ and other marginalized people. Guiding our clients in sustaining a healthy weight and achieve improved health through the Healthy Living program is just one of the ways we serve our community. We are dedicated to helping our clients achieve their best health through encouragement, positivity, support, and knowledge.

**Overview**:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Health Coach to join our team. As a Health Coach, you will play a vital role in helping individuals achieve their health and wellness goals. If you have a strong background in health coaching or personal training, and a passion for helping others lead healthier lives, we want to hear from you.

**Duties**:

- Provide one-on-one health coaching sessions to clients, focusing on their specific needs and goals
- Conduct anthropomorphic measurements and initial and ongoing assessments to understand clients' health status, goals, and challenges.
- Develop personalized care plans to address clients' health concerns and promote overall well-being and align with the medical weight loss program
- Monitor client progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure continued success.
- Educate clients on healthy lifestyle choices, including nutrition, exercise, stress management, and sleep hygiene
- Assist with related administrative processes
- Offer motivational interviewing techniques to inspire and empower clients to make positive changes
- Collaborate with medical professionals and other team members to deliver integrated care for clients
- Conduct group workshops or classes on topics related to health and wellness
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of client interactions and progress
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and trends in the field of health coaching

**Qualifications**:

- Caring, positive, and motivational attitude
- Experience working with clients diverse ethnic, racial, and economic backgrounds
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field (e.g., health promotion, exercise science, nutrition) preferred
- Certification in health coaching or related field (e.g., personal training, wellness coaching)
- Strong knowledge of nutrition principles and ability to provide guidance on healthy eating habits
- Familiarity with various exercise modalities (e.g., yoga, strength training) and ability to tailor exercise recommendations to individual needs
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and motivate clients effectively
- Experience creating and implementing care plans for clients with specific health goals (e.g., weight loss)
- Openness to learning new techniques and technology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
