Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join our nutraceuticals business at our Totowa, NJ facility. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the manufacturing function. This position will report to a process Engineer.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING.
- Train Operators in Blending, Milling, Extrusion, Extraction, and Spray Drying.
- Train Operators in all aspects of safety and GMP’s
- Make sure Products are manufactured/Packaged as required by the specifications and batch record
- Maintain all applicable records for production/sanitation programs
- Procurement of parts and materials (sanitation, chemicals, janitorial supplies, PPE’s, and Packaging materials.) needed in the production department.
- Maintain/Monitor inventory levels.
- Work closely with Maintenance Department making sure equipment is in operating conditions
- Close monitor pest control programs.
- Closely monitor cleaning agents and equipment and ensure proper and adequate use.
- Work along with EHS team and ensure all personnel follows safety regulations.
- Assist in investigations and corrective actions as necessary.
- Coordinate monitoring samples for RO water system
- Understand and perform all quality and food safety responsibilities in compliance with Ashland and FSSC22000 requirements.
- Maintain and review preventative maintenance program.

IN ORDER TO BE QUALIFIED FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

- High school diploma
- Undergraduate/science related
- 5-10 Years of supervision Experience

THE FOLLOWING SKILL SETS ARE PREFERRED BY THE BUSINESS UNIT:

- Bilingual in Spanish Preferred
- Excellent oral and writing skills
