Fleet Maintenance Technician

**Position overview**

The **Fleet Maintenance Technician** will be responsible in maintaining a late model tractor fleet and dry van fleet. Starting with a Quality Preventive Maintenance Program, the technician will continue to improve equipment uptime and performance, while ensuring equipment is safe and compliant.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to:_
- Diagnosing, maintaining and repairing class 8 equipment in a timely manner.
- Perform FMCSA annual inspections and company PM’s.
- Service Auxiliary Power Units within OEM and company guidelines.
- Prepare equipment for in-service, re-issuance, and for sale.
- Document repairs through maintenance platform to satisfy warranty and compliance requirements.
- Charge out parts as being utilized.
- Participate in annual safety and OEM/OES training.
- Clean and maintain shop and equipment in safe manner.

**Skills and Requirements**
- Able to work safely as a team member.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational / technical or certification preferred.
- Full understanding of fleet maintenance policies, DOT standards and industry practices.
- Basic computer skills to enter data into maintenance software system is required.
- Must have the ability and desire to learn the latest technology and maintenance practices.
- Must own your own tools sufficient to perform any job that is assigned.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Semi-Trailer maintenance and repair and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25.
- Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.19.
- Must be a least 18 years of age.
- Valid state issued driver’s license.
