Description:

- Calibrating the spectrometer to ensure the machine’s analysis is within the Aluminum Association’s tolerance for each alloy being analyzed.
- Responsible for the proper settings, functions, and use of the spectrometer for variations of aluminum alloys.
- Collection and preparation for materials to be analyzed.
- Manufacturing and preparation of sample “buttons” for analysis.
- Typical running of spectrometer to generate analysis reports of material being analyzed.
- Proper identification, filing/storing, and shipment of analyzed samples and/or analyses.
- Proper documentation of materials analyzed and the assimilation of information collected for files, suppliers, customers, managers, and/or shareholders.

Responsible for the care, cleanliness, and general upkeep of the spectrometer
