**POSITION PURPOSE**:
This position is responsible for fixed assets and project tracking, various month-end analyses, general ledger account reconciliation and various special assignments.

**_Experience_**
- 0 to 2 years' experience in Accounting/Finance
- Experience with Oracle Fixed Assets a plus
- Experience in Microsoft Office products

**_Skills_**
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in accounting.
- Works under general supervision.
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan & accomplish goals.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively with customers/clients to carry out responsibilities and respond to common inquiries from customers/clients or members of the business community.
- Ability to develop presentations to be delivered to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

**_Education_**
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:

- Assist with monthly closing process. This includes preparation of journal entries, and various month-end analysis
- Calculate monthly adjusting journal entries for changes on fixed assets
- Update Oracle for additions, transfers, changes and disposals monthly
- Verify accuracy of system journal entries for depreciation, additions and disposals
- Track project costs and work with owners of projects for proper accounting treatment
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Prepare for interim and year-end financial audits and census reporting
- May be required to do cross functional project work.
- May be required to do cross functional teamwork and participate in cross functional teams
- This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities

**SCOPE & EXPECATIONS**:

- Typical office environment. The noise level is usually moderate. Some out-of-town travel is possible. Occasional weekend work and extended evening hours is required. Work from office 3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday) and work from home 2 days a week (Monday & Friday).
- Reports to: Manager, General Accounting
