**The role**:
The Corporate Services Manager manages a regionally dispersed team of Corporate Services Advisers, supports the General Manager International - Americas (based in New York), and the regional leadership team through the delivery of high-quality, integrated and client-focused corporate support (including, HR, legal, finance, property, and administration), across the Americas region. The Americas region includes North and Latin America, with offices in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Brazil.

The Corporate Services Manager Americas shall be accountable to:

- support the region’s leadership team by contributing to regional planning
- provide budget preparation and forecasting, people, and property advice
- lead delivery of high-quality corporate support through leadership and management the regional Corporate Services Adviser team
- manage regional financial, property (both office and residential) and other administrative compliance and reporting compliance
- work closely with the Americas leadership team to drive the performance and professional development of regional administrative support staff

**Duties include***
Support the General Manager International - Americas, to effectively deliver the Americas regional plans, meet key goals, objectives and priority initiatives and effectively manage allocated resources by:

- coordinate the delivery of onsite corporate service support to the regional leadership and local teams
- manage the regional Corporate Services Network to deliver corporate services support throughout the region, including coaching staff and managing performance
- active leadership and advice to posts relating to operational financial management
- provide accurate information and reports for the regional corporate support functions through maintenance of records and processes, and in depth analysis to produce actionable insights, and regular performance and compliance reporting at a regional level
- provide consistent administrative practices across the region aligned to the global strategy
- oversee the more complex and sensitive administrative issues
- monitor and proactively assess compliance with regional governing legislation, such as local labour laws, financial management obligations and other relevant legislation
- provide day-to-day administrative support, which may include but not limited to: finance administration (e.g. procurement, financial budgeting, performance reporting and forecasting); preparing and processing payrolls; onsite human resource support; information technology support; facilities and office management; residential property administration and maintenance coordination; asset management and security administration support
- assist with office property (including corrective and preventive maintenance) and residential leasing and fit-out
- support Australian based staff and their families as they transition to/from regional posts
- ensure consistent compliance with Austrade policies and procedures, practices, delegations, the Public Service Act (Australian), and local labour laws within the region
- work with General Manager International - Americas and the Corporate Services Group to identify risks and assist with the implementation of appropriate mitigating strategies
- work in partnership with the Manager - Global Corporate Services, and the broader Austrade Corporate Services Network, to deliver a consistent, efficient, and effective global approach to corporate support services.
- establish and foster effective internal and external working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients, including amongst others, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, attached regional Australian Federal and State government agencies, banks, and local employment agencies.
- contribute to Austrade knowledge creation by adopting information practices, sharing knowledge and information, and by embracing best practice and development opportunities.
- work collaboratively within the Austrade network to contribute to service delivery and achieving desired outcomes, while upholding the Australian Public Service Values and Code of Conduct and Work Health and Safety (WHS) principles.
