Kennel Assistant

Responsibilities:

- Provide daily care and maintenance for animals in the kennel
- Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their specific needs
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas
- Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
- Handle animals safely and securely during examinations and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatment

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with animals, such as in a veterinary clinic or animal shelter
- Knowledge of animal behavior, handling techniques, and basic medical care
- Ability to restrain animals safely and effectively
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting or prolonged periods of standing or walking
- Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners and veterinary staff
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed
