**The Opportunity**

The position works out of our **Lake Forest, IL,** location in the Rapid Diagnostic division. As the **Record** to Report Domain Architect - SAP, **you will work with stakeholders to build a holistic view of the organization's **Financial & SAP** strategy processes, identify the required capabilities, and define the short-term and long-term strategy and implementation plans necessary to achieve the long-term strategic objectives. The Domain Architect will develop and own Abbott's RMDx SAP blueprint/roadmap, partnering with the Global Process Owner for their domain globally.

**What You'll Work On**

The **Record to Report Domain Architect - SAP **will oversee and directly contribute to developing and implementing cost-effective solutions for various-size projects, coaching functional architects on SAP architecture and business capability-driven methodology, and creating the global SAP architecture governance and processes for managing the RMDx SAP domain solutions and capability portfolio.
- Develop, review, and maintain the SAP architecture roadmap and strategy to ensure adequacy and concurrency. (Bring benchmarking and best practices.)
- Manage and lead the design and implementation of complex SAP solutions and projects across various functional areas.
- Deliver critical programs across the RMDx SAP roadmap: Effectively manage the functional and technical team, providing oversight to deliver on strategic engagements and program deliverables, ensuring the team has against its commitments with the highest quality in a timely fashion.
- Create and own appropriate business-aligned implementation plans, timelines, milestones, etc.
- Set and enforce global architecture standards for global ERP solutions.
- Provide expert guidance and leadership in SAP-related technical matters to internal teams and external partners.
- Develop, motivate, and direct the functional team, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

**Required Qualifications**
- Have an accredited bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting, Business Administration, or related specialization.
- ** 10+ years** combined experience in Finance and Information Technology, including:

- ** SAP Financial Accounting (New GL/AR/AP/Banking)**:

- ** SAP Controlling (CC/IO/COPA/CO-PC)**:

- ** SAP FSCM Management** (Credit Management/Collection Management/Dispute **Management/ BCM)**:

- ** HFM Consolidation**:

- **General Accounting / Record to Report, Financial Reporting**:

- Integration knowledge with Sales and Distribution, Material Management, Manufacturing
- Previous supervisor or leadership role
- Experience working in a highly validated system environment.
- Experience and knowledge in integrating SAP with non-SAP systems, including internally developed and 3rd Party Applications.
- Experience with all aspects of system implementation, including gathering requirements, designing future solutions, testing, change management, and post-implementation support.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining SAP solutions for end-to-end financial processes under cross-functional scenarios such as Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash, Revenue Accounting, etc.
- Ability to navigate across finance, business, and technical organizations.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- SAP S/4 HANA migration experience preferred.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
- Proficient in SLC documentation related to system validation.
