Seafood Cutter

**Overview**:
As a member of the Green Tree Packing / Tailfin Seafood Fish team, Fish Cutters are skilled at cleaning, butchering, and preparing various fish/seafood products for various hotels, restaurants, and country clubs in the New York, New Jersey metro area. This role will have a solid understanding of proper fish butchering and seafood in a high volume, fast paced department while working in a cold-climate environment. You have advanced knife skills, seeking to minimize waste, support Fish Associates, as well as learn new butchering skills, seasonal seafood products and overall Fish Department operations.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Breaking down, filleting of various fish products.
- Support Fish Associate workload when needed, e.g. gutting, cleaning, de-scaling, removing bones, portioning.
- Package weigh and label all orders to ensure correct allocation of product for each order.
- Maintain and stock product in warehouse, understanding product dating and inventory control.
- Maintain clean and sanitary workstation and storage area.
- Follow all safety guidelines/requirements.
- In addition, other duties/projects/assignments as directed by management.

**Qualifications**:

- High school degree or equivalent
- 2 years of experience cleaning and cutting various types of fish.
- Ability to work in a cold refrigerated environment for your entire shift.
- Able to work night, some weekends, and some holidays
- Experience working in a food service or food supply a plus, but not required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment

**Physical Demands**:
Must have the ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 80lbs. Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, and lifting.

This position is in a refrigerated warehouse, must be able to dress accordingly.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
