**Position Title**:Department Manager** - **Wine Steward

**Department**:Wine & Spirits

**Supervisor**: Assistant Branch Manager / Branch Manager

**FLSA**: Non-exempt (paid by the hour)

**Position Summary**:Manages the Wine & Spirits department in the branch. Responsible for receiving product, ensuring that aisles are stocked, clean and well-merchandised, following compliance policies and providing helpful customer service.

**Key Tasks**:

- Follow state laws regarding the wholesale selling of alcohol (Restaurant Depot provides training and sets policies)
- Ensure the department is ready for business
- Keep shelves well-stocked with product
- Build and maintain floor displays to highlight items
- Ensure accurate price tags are posted for each item
- Work with other branch personnel to attract new customers to the department
- Help customers find relevant wine and spirits products to purchase
- Communicate inventory needs and customer requests to buyer

**Requirements**:

- Basic Outlook and Excel skills
- Strong communication skills, multi-lingual a plus
- Ability to lift/carry and stock shelves
