Security Officer

Position Overview:

- Key Responsibilities: _
- Premises Surveillance:_ Conduct regular patrols, both inside and outside the building, to detect any suspicious activity or hazards. Monitor CCTV cameras, responding to any incidents or irregularities observed.
- Protection Duties: _Ensure the safety of company leadership, employees, and drivers, especially during important transactions or movements. Oversee the security aspects of vendor deliveries and other critical operations.
- Security Systems and Protocols: _Regularly check and maintain alarm systems, ensuring they are fully operational. Conduct periodic testing of security measures to validate their effectiveness. Manage the distribution and collection of panic buttons at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring they are accounted for and operational.
- Reporting and Communication: _Maintain detailed logs of security-related incidents and daily activities. Conduct rounds to identify any vulnerabilities or maintenance issues and report these to the relevant department. Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services as required.
- Qualifications: _High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a security role or related field. Knowledge of security protocols and response procedures. Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
- Preferred Qualifications:_ Certification in security training or law enforcement background. First aid and CPR certification. Familiarity with surveillance technology and alarm systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working Conditions:_ The Security Officer role requires both indoor and outdoor patrols, regardless of weather conditions. Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods. The role involves shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to provide continuous security coverage. Must be prepared to respond to emergency situations or incidents swiftly and effectively.
- Compensation and Benefits: _$18 Hr starting pay - 40-60 hours
