Position summary:
Experience: Medical Office, Chiropractic Office, Physical Therapy office, Scheduling Patients, Patient Doctor Liaison, Insurance verification, knowledge of SOAP notes/Clinical Notes/Medical Records a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:
A front desk receptionist serves as the face of the employer. The front receptionist is the first, and sometimes only, person whom the guests meet when walking into the office. The receptionist needs a great deal of skills to perform the tasks that are assigned. A successful receptionist must be both an excellent communicator and strong administrator. They also must comfortably interact with individuals of all professional levels. The front desk receptionist must also at times be the assistant to the doctor during office hours when needed. The new hire may be required to occasionally commute to assist the chiropractic doctor at our NYC location.

Below are a few but not limited to the job duties of a front desk receptionist / doctor assistant:

- Insurance verification, payment collections
- Scheduling patient appointments for the New York and New Jersey locations using Chirotouch Scheduler. (2 office locations, 2 doctors schedules)
- Data entry
- Reviewing of SOAP notes, treatment plans, balances for the next day’s schedule
- Following up on Radiology
- Greet patients.
- Confirmations for upcoming appointments.
- Assist the doctor during the treatment visit.
- Open and close office; including cleaning the treatment rooms, take out garbage, end of day summary of patients and payments, etc.

Our practice has an office in NYC on the Upper West Side as well as an office in Hackensack, NJ. There may be opportunities to work in both locations as well.

We are a longtime established chiropractic office that specializes in sports and soft tissue therapy. Currently, we have two offices with our primary location in Hackensack, NJ and our second office being located on West 67th St. in Manhattan. We have a very close team of employees that support our three doctors which allows for a smooth workday. We are hoping to find a hardworking individual with a great personality and communication skills, that is a quick learner to become part of our team.
