Yard Driver / Yard Jockey - D Shift

**Job Description**:
This position is responsible for operating trucks and moving trailers in and out of loading areas while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Must operate yard truck in a safe manner at all times by following all safety procedures.
- Move correct trailer from yard to door and door to yard.
- Communicate with drivers in a respectful manner.
- Set reefer units at appropriate settings.
- Check to see if reefer units will start.
- Communicate with dispatcher and follow instructions.
- Chock trailers.
- Report any fuel or oil leaks to maintenance.
- Breaks must be staggered.
- Will be responsible for the cleanliness of the shuttle truck.
- Will do pre-inspection for safety and mechanical defects on shuttle truck at beginning of shift.
- Lot checks as requested by management.
- Other Duties as Assigned.

Requirements:
Physical Demands and Requirements of Job:

- Must be willing to tolerate extreme cold and extreme heat (9-12 hours per day).
- Must be willing to bend at waist and knees on a repetitive basis (9-12 hours per day).
- Must be willing to twist and turn (9-12 hours per day).
- Must be willing to climb in and out of truck cab on a continual basis (9-12 hours per day).
- Must be willing to walk a great deal (9-12 hours per day).
- Must have a clean safety record obtained through MVR clearance NO DUI/DWIs in the last 12 months
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Must have a clean safety record.
- Must maintain good attendance.
