The Title I Continuous Improvement Team within the Division for Student & School Success is seeking applicants for **(2) Urban Education Consultant **positions.

**Position Summary**:
The primary function of this position is to provide, as a member of a team, expert leadership for school and district support in accordance with Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). This position will support the work of the Title I Continuous Improvement Team to ensure educational equity and success for all students by administering funds and providing support to students, families, educators, and communities. Duties include:

- providing consultation and intensive technical assistance to Title I schools/districts in the areas of high-quality instructional materials, instruction, and assessment strategies, instructional resources, and research related to helping all students, especially those historically underserved to meet high standards.
- monitoring and providing support to schools that are identified as needing improvement and receiving federal funds (e.g., basic, and intensive technical assistance and professional development) regarding curriculum, instructional practice, assessment, and overall program design.
- providing support and expertise to districts in their efforts to implement and scale up evidence-based practices and reform initiatives using principles of continuous improvement.
- maintaining the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) Title I guidelines and other reference material essential to the LEA’s participation in these programs.

**Salary Information**:
This position is in the classification Education Consultant. Depending on qualifications, the salary will be between $32.00 - $45.00 per hour (approximately $66,560 - $93,600 per year). For current and eligible former State employees, compensation will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan effective at time of hire. This position is in pay schedule 13, range 02. A one-year probationary period will be required.

This position offers excellent benefits. The State of Wisconsin is a qualifying employer for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.

**Job Details**:
This position has the option to work 100% remote with a requirement that the employee is expected to have access to secure high speed internet. Remote work flexibility will be discussed in more detail during the interview process.

The position is headquartered at 125 S. Webster Street in Madison, WI, and employees are required to report there on their first day of employment. In addition, the employee may need to report to their headquarter location as operational needs require. Reimbursement for traveling to or from the employee’s headquarters is not provided (e.g., mileage, meals, parking, lodging, etc.).

A criminal background check will be conducted prior to an offer of hire.
