South Shores Recovery is looking for an experienced and passionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our growing team in Dana Point.

Behavioral Health Technicians/Recovery Support Specialists are an essential part of our operations team, and their duties would include:

- Direct client care and daily engagement with persons suffering from substance use disorder and other co-occurring disorders
- Transport clients as required to meetings, activities, appointments and outings as required.
- Observation and documentation of client's self-administered medications within EMR software KIPU as needed.
- Medication auditing
- Documentation of rounds observations on client behaviors
- Facility safety and security procedures including belongings searches and urinalysis testing.
- Intake documentation within EMR software for clients admitting to the program
- General upkeep of facility that align with standards set forth by DHCS and JCAHO
- Demonstration of empathy, understanding, compassion, and clear communication
- Upholding facility rules, regulations, and boundaries with clients
- Collaborate with operations teammates to complete daily duties as required
- Compiling of observations of client behaviors into a daily End of Shift report.

FT/PT Graveyard (10pm - 6am or 12am - 8am) position available. Weekend availability preferred.

Requirements: RADT (or equivalent), driver's license, CPR/first aid/AED cert, TB test/physical/drug screen, consent to background check.
Preferred: Previous experience in Behavioral Health and/or lead technician experience and/or competency with KIPU.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
