**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

The Accounting Clerk’s key responsibilities are to manage Accounts Payable duties along with some Accounts Receivable and Operations tasks. This person is an essential part of the accounting team responsible for the following:

- Monthly reconciliation of credit cards with balance sheet.
- Review GL coding for accuracy and ensure proper approvals for accounts payable transactions, invoice entry and weekly check run.
- Timely and accurate processing of daily payments and posting to customer accounts.
- Collaborates with both Accounting and Operations in resolving any discrepancies in the posting and balancing.
- Assists with balancing for month end close.
- Debit, credit and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases using accounting software.
- Ability to be backup for weekly Payroll download.

**Experience and Qualifications**
- Minimum of 2-4 years overall accounting experience.
- 2+ years in the Accounts Payable role is required.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required.
- Thorough understanding of general accounting principles, A/R and A/P.
- Knowledge of payroll processing.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook a must)
