Patient Registration Clerk

A **Patient Registration Clerk** position is available at Alpha Surgical Center in Tomball, TX/Sugarland, TX. This position is full time, Monday through Friday, No evenings, No Weekends. Friendly work environment with medical benefits.

The **Patient Registration Clerk** is responsible for:

- Warmly greeting patients, family members, vendors and other visitors to the facility.
- Checking-in patients on the day of surgery
- Ability to learn HST Pathways EMR system.
- Verifying insurance
- Making sure the patient signs and dates all necessary paperwork required prior to surgery. This may include financial responsibility documents and payment plans.
- Interacting with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Keeping visitors informed by providing proper, timely updates regarding their visit.
- Working effectively with patients, physicians and staff.
- Entering patient demographic information into database accurately and timely.
- Prioritizing work responsibilities, multi-tasking and staying on task while working with many interruptions
- Having excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A commitment to outstanding customer service.
- Providing dependable, on-time attendance.
- Answering phones and other supporting receptionist tasks as assigned by the Scheduling Coordinator.

**Experience**:

- Medical Front Office: 1 year (required)

**Education**:

- High school or equivalent (required)

**Location**:

- Tomball, TX/Sugarland, TX

**Language**:

- Spanish (required)

Pay: $14.00 - $23.00 per hour
