About the role**The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of all Quality Assurance and Compliance focused initiatives. The QA Manager is responsible for working across programs to ensure compliance with regulations and policy, including the reporting and investigation of incidents, COMAR Regulations, the DDA Waivers, DDA Policy, and internal protocols.**Starting Salary: $60,000/year** **FLSA Classification**: Exempt **What you'll do**
- Responsible for Incident Reporting on behalf of Opportunities, Inc., triaging incidents on a daily basis with program staff and managing incident records in both iCareManager and PCIS2.
- Conduct incident investigations in accordance with PORII.
- Provide internal training, ensuring that staff in all roles have a good understanding of incident reporting requirements and procedures.
- Serve as the liaison between Opportunities, Inc. and reviewers, such as OHCQ, Liberty QIO, DDA.
- Complete and submit Plan of Corrections for the organization as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining current licensure and DDA approvals, including annual DDA renewal, ePrep revalidations.
- Maintain agency protocols and policy in accordance with COMAR and DDA requirements.
- Update Program Service Plans on an annual/ as needed basis.
- Performing Quality assurance checks throughout all programs, ensuring that goals are being worked on regularly, and that services reflect meaningful activities and are based around creating inclusive opportunities for the people supported by Opportunities, Inc
- Complete quarterly building safety assessment and relay maintenance needs to appropriate staff.
- Complete monthly water temperature testing of Opportunities, Inc. sites, making sure that water temperatures do not exceed 110 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Work with leadership to create an Annual QA Plan and track progress, reporting on goals on a quarterly basis.
- Attend iCM trainings to stay abreast of new features in the system and how the organization can better streamline processes.
- Create and implement a drill schedule, ensuring that drills are completed in different settings (both licensed sites and in the community) with people in services.
- Spot check records for quality of services and provide routine feedback to programs.
- Conduct ongoing training to staff on incident management and additional topics as needed as part of new hire onboarding and annual training refreshers.
- Responsible for agency Standing Committee, developing the membership and facilitating the committee’s work as required by COMAR.
- Develop and update agency protocols as required.
- Develop and conduct satisfaction surveys for people supported and other stakeholders.
- Spearhead Self-Advocacy initiatives, such as development of self-advocacy groups/events, and rights-promoting activities with people supported by Opportunities, Inc.
- Serve as the designated Privacy Official, ensuring compliance with HIPAA in program operations.
- Serve as the designated Safety Official, ensuring compliance with safety measures.
- Assist in leveraging information systems to provide insights & reporting to programs.
- Ensure updated consents (photo, HIPAA) are kept on file for people we support.
- Complete a sample monthly PCP Review in each program and provide a report to the Program Directors & Leadership team.
- Prepare Data for necessary Board Dashboard[EF1] Reports.
- Provide Monthly Incident Report Data to Leadership Team.
- Support State and Council for Quality and Leadership Initiatives as they relate to providing high quality supports with Opportunities, Inc.’s programs.
- Provide MANDT Training as required to staff throughout the agency.
- Support Results Based Accountability initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree (7 years of experience working in the field of developmental disabilities can substitute for required degree)
- A valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation and willingness to drive company vehicles.
- 5 years of experience working at an agency supporting individuals with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities or mental health disorders.
- Experience in QA and/or Incident Reporting according to PORII
- 3+ years experience with triaging & reporting incidents at a Maryland DDA provider.
- Experience in the development and implementation of agency policies related to quality
