**JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS**:
The Department of Meteorology and Professor Ray Najjar are seeking an undergraduate student to help develop a computational model of carbon fluxes, including respiration and calcification, associated with benthic fauna in Chesapeake Bay. The work will support a National Science Foundation project to quantify the role that macrobiota play in estuarine carbon cycling. The successful applicant will have knowledge of the Python programming language, statistics, and biogeochemistry, and good oral and written communication skills. The position will have a time commitment of 30-40 hours per week May - August 2024.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
