The role of the Pressman/Lithography Technician is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of print processing and ensuring the quality of the final product. This position involves a keen eye for identifying potential defects in materials and cans, conducting thorough inspections and tests throughout the production cycle. The technician is responsible for upholding all regulatory standards by adhering to company policies and best manufacturing practices. Any quality concerns or suspect materials are promptly addressed by halting the process to isolate the issue, followed by clear communication with the production team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the maintenance of decorators to guarantee superior print quality.
- Manage the replacement of plates, inks, and other materials for new production runs.
- Operate decorators efficiently and safely to maximize output.
- Record and address any material issues, collaborating with the team to find solutions.
- Engage with production staff, management, and the Director of Lithography to report quality issues.
- Assist in managing and isolating suspect or rejected products.
- Conduct random sample checks from production lines.
- Assess and fulfill the supply needs for the production line.
- Document departmental work, noting any errors or malfunctions.
- Strive for process improvements to minimize scrap and waste.
- Keep the work area organized and clean.
- Ensure timely completion of all tasks.
- Maintain adequate supply levels and communicate needs effectively.
- Adhere to OSHA and other relevant safety and operational guidelines.
- Foster a collaborative environment and share insights with peers.
- Undertake additional duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Experience: Prior experience in lithography is advantageous.

Skills and Attributes:

- Proficient in color differentiation and defect detection.
- Skilled in handling and inspecting cans.
- Competent in operating electronically controlled presses.
- Capable of working efficiently and reprioritizing tasks as needed.
- Effective communication across all company levels.
- Able to instruct and guide helpers.
