DeFiore Funeral & Cremation Service is dedicated to providing caring, professional services to Huntley and the surrounding community. As a full-service funeral home, we provide many types of funeral and memorial services, accommodating all faiths, ethnic traditions, and family wishes. We offer cremation services at our on-site crematory, as well as monuments, markers, and pre-planning services.

**Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Assist on funerals and burials with a licensed funeral director
- Assist on Second call removals with a licensed funeral director
- Wash, Gas, Clean, Maintain Cars
- Light maintenance and building maintenance (changing light bulbs, running blower in entrance, trash pick up)
- Help with delivering flowers etc to families after the funeral
- Willing to train on assistance with cremations,
- Willing to train on headstones and markers
- Offer bereavement support to grieving families
- Assist with heavy lifting and physical tasks as needed
- Other duties as assigned by CEO or Funeral Operations Manager

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in funeral services or related field is preferred
- Teamwork and proven ability to work independently, task oriented
- Event planning skills are beneficial
- Ability to provide compassionate bereavement support
- Capable of handling heavy lifting tasks

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 24 per week
