**Description**
To supervise the departments secretarial and clerical functions. Is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives and policies of the Department and the Hospital Center
**Responsibilities**
- Prepares weekly and biweekly payroll. Maintains accurate attendance, lateness and sick time records of all cardiology staff.
- Prepares purchase requests and follows up with purchasing department.
- Maintains office inventory. Orders supplies as needed.
- Monitors cardiology on-call schedules. Alerts physicians of on-call status. Reports scheduling conflicts. Relays schedules to appropriate departments.
- Performs complex secretarial duties for the department Chief, Attending Physicians, Division Manager and Fellows. This includes but is not limited to manuscript preparation, graphic presentations, and professional correspondence
- Maintains physician schedules. Handles confidential documents. Schedules meetings.
- Answers phones. Relays messages. Resolves problems/conflicts or relays to appropriate staff members.

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $58,661.00 - $67,349.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
