Construction Groundman

Techline Construction is seeking a **Groundman** in Austin, Texas and the surrounding area.

**Home weekends - Weekly Per Diem - Paid Weekly**

**Responsibilities include**:

- Perform various manual tasks in the construction and maintenance of overhead power lines
- Assemble materials on the ground
- Assist other crew members in filling pole holes and trench using a shovel
- Flag traffic and set up job sites as directed
- Maintain organization of tools and materials on work vehicles
- Clean up and organize job sites at completion of work
- When aptitude is demonstrated and work allows, Groundman will receive training in the operation of some trucks, light equipment, and tools._

**Skills and abilities**:

- Able to adapt to seasonal temperature changes and inclement weather.
- Able to meet physical requirements. Actions include but are not limited to, standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, cutting wire, lifting and maneuvering 90 pounds, and more.

**Requirements**:

- Must have a valid Class A CDL within 3 months of employment
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test
- Adhere to company safety and health policies - will receive safety training
