**Minimum Qualifications**:
**Who We Are**:
Mental Health Support Services (MHSS) is the provider of mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorder services for children and adults in Chesterfield County. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Leisure Coach to work with those with intellectual disabilities.

**Minimum Education and Experience**:
High school diploma or GED; some college coursework preferred; one year of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred: One year of experience in the Intellectual Disability field; five years of related experience, and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.

**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:
Knowledge of purpose of residential and day program services, attitude of community toward individuals with developmental disabilities; knowledge of first aid, BLS, and emergency services; knowledge of community services and case management. Demonstrated computer proficiency skills; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Skill in writing or summarizing documentation of consumer services preferred.

**Additional Requirements**:
**Current valid driver’s license and good driving record required. Based on the Virginia DMV point system, records must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months. Out of state driving records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview. Records must reflect at least three years of history and be dated within thirty days of interview date.**

**Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check, and education/degree verification required.**

**Duties**:
**Duties include but are not limited to**:
- Maintains a caseload; develops treatment plans; writes report summary of services.
- Completes monthly service billing for assigned sites and provides data for reporting.
- Facilitates medication administration, units' utilization, and assists with in-house customer service needs
- May participate in the development of the ISP, evaluate consumer progress as a member of the interdisciplinary team, and complete necessary and required documentation.
- May assist with training and monitoring of consumer group dynamics.
- Provides general office and administrative support for program services; performs other work as required.
