Chc Weight Loss Clinic Coordinator

**Primary Purpose of the Position**:
Provides patient care support services to ensure efficient operation of the health center which may include: medical transcription, public contact, clerical and clinical support.** **This role will perform the prior authorizations and precertification needed for medication prescriptions and also perform patient engagement functions. The role of "coordinator" of the program should also include rooming the patients for the group sessions and perhaps even the weight loss consultation appointments.

**Minimum Qualifications**:
Patient Care Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant

Requires the ability to communicate effectively.

Basic mathematical skills and good typing skills.

Medical terminology.

Word processing, prior secretarial experience, and/or education preferred.

Willingness to learn clinical and patient care support services.
