Job Description Summary
This full-time position is for a Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator who will be a core member of a collaborative care team. The team includes Penn Medicine on Demand clinicians (PMOD), the PI and CO PI, program manager, and CRS Director. This individual will be involved in a number of projects and grant-based programming, all relating to expanding and supporting services related to increasing access to substance use disorder treatment and resources within the Penn system and greater community. This person will develop relationships with community groups/agencies in partnership with others in the agency. Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive volunteer and internship program, including recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers and interns.
- Coordinate schedules, assignments, and tasks for volunteers and interns to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and goals.
- Provide ongoing support, guidance, and mentorship to volunteers and interns to facilitate their professional development and ensure a positive experience.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify volunteer and internship opportunities that contribute to CAMP’s research, clinical, and policy initiatives.
- Plan and execute outreach events, workshops, and educational programs to engage the community and raise awareness about harm reduction, treatment, and recovery.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders to expand outreach efforts and maximize impact.
- Develop and distribute educational materials, resources, and digital content to support outreach initiatives and disseminate information about substance use disorder-related topics.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of volunteer, internship, and outreach programs, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as maintaining databases, preparing reports, and managing communications related to volunteer, internship, and outreach activities.
- Patient engagement both in person and virtually to ensure navigation to appropriate community resources, support, and follow up i.e. communities of recovery, MOUD, educational, vocational, social, cultural, spiritual resources, mutual self
- help groups, professional services, etc. that support the recovering person's goals and interests. This will involve a collaborative effort including the recovering person, agency staff and other relevant stakeholders.
- Provide recovery education for every phase of the recovery journey from pre-recovery engagement, recovery initiation, recovery stabilization, and sustained recovery maintenance.
- Supervising volunteers, students and interns participating the various types of community engagement and outreach with CAMP
