The MCP Outreach Specialist is responsible for providing advocacy, support, and referral information to clients and their families to assist them with overcoming barriers toward their career goals.

Community Teamwork, Inc acting as the Regional Administrative Agency for the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC) partners with MassHire to enable access to workforce development programs and to help families and individuals, especially those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, achieve their employment and career goals.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- The Outreach Specialist will be responsible for proactively identifying participants of eligible subsidized programs and engaging them to discuss the benefits of workforce development initiatives.
- Create and Conduct regularly scheduled orientations, webinars, and informational sessions to recruit families.
- Complete intake and needs assessment with each family interested in participating in the program.
- Assist, whenever possible, with referring /recruiting new SNOMASS and FSS program participants.
- Provide clients with appropriate support and referrals and assist them with accessing internal and external services needed to accomplish their long-term goals.
- Maintain regular contact with MassHire to monitor clients’ progress towards their goals. Work closely with MassHIre to identify and build a database of programs that are available to our clients in order to develop strategies to address barriers and concerns identified through the client assessment process.
- Monitor participant’s progress and keep detailed records of participant interactions and outcomes.
- Track the effectiveness of outreach efforts.
- Participate in all necessary meetings with employees, partners, tenants, and any other required meetings or trainings.
- Create, Monitor, and update data and tracking tools to track program success.
- All other tasks that promote and align with the mission.
- Assist in compiling data for any necessary reports, logic models, and statements.
- Develop and maintain contact with local and regional service organizations to insure access to local services for participants.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- High school or equivalent required
- Prior relevant experience preferred.
- Desire to work with low income, culturally diverse, and at-risk families and individuals.
- Experience assessing family needs and helping families identify realistic goals.
- Experience navigating a network of social service programs to connect clients to appropriate resources.
- Demonstrated knowledge of community resources available to low-income individuals and families.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and confidentiality of information.
- Attention to detail/highly organized.
- Excellent customer service, organizational, oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, or comparable software and tracking systems.
- Ability to maintain thorough and accurate records on client progress toward goals.
- Ability to respond to all correspondence in a timely manner.
- Bi-lingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred.
