Shipping Supervisor

**Position Summary**:The Shipping Supervisor oversees and coordinates the daily activities of the shipping department. This role ensures the accurate, timely, and safe shipping of products, compliance with company policies, and adherence to food safety standards. The Shipping Supervisor will manage the shipping team, maintain shipping records, and collaborate with other departments to optimize the shipping process.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure all shipping activities comply with food safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Implement and monitor safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Lead and manage a team of shipping personnel, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment through effective communication and leadership.
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping transactions, including shipment tracking, costs, and discrepancies.
- Prepare regular reports on shipping activities, performance metrics, and issues for management review.
- Manage and resolve shipping-related inquiries and complaints from customers and internal stakeholders.
- Manage fulfillment of customer PO’s
- Enter logistics carrier and assign POs in the ERP system
- Supervising warehouse team
- Able to fill in for Warehousing team as needed
- Oversee forklift training, operating, and safety
- Oversee transferring of packaging/materials and maintain accurate inventory
- Assist the Warehouse Manager with all stock take procedures
- Manage FIFO of finished goods and warehouse slotting procedures
- Oversee the preparation, loading, and dispatching of shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor and manage the accurate labeling, packaging, and documentation of outbound shipments.
- Coordinate with the production and inventory teams to manage order fulfillment and stock levels.

**Supervisory Responsibility**:
This position will have direct supervision responsibilities for Warehouse personnel

**Qualifications / Skills**:

- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in shipping software and logistics management systems.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

**Education / Experience Desired**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in shipping or logistics
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment is highly desirable

**Language / Mathematical / Reasoning Ability**:

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, and government regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, freight costs, dimensions, and volume.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Strong analytical skills to assess situations and make effective decisions under pressure.

**Supervision Given**:

- This position reports to the Warehouse Manager
- The position holder is expected to be able to work with mínimal oversight at times, able to confidently handle situations on their own

**Physical Demands**:

- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in varying environmental warehouse conditions

**Location**:On-site at our headquarters located in Loveland, CO

**Travel Required**:Limited - May be required to travel locally on an infrequent basis.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
