**Grant Coordinator**

**Purpose**
To devlop partnerships and to seek funding for projects within the Tolleson Union High School District as well as support District goals. The coordinator will need to coordinate, monitor, manage, modify, and maintain/prepare reports on federal, state, and private programs and grants.The incumbent will align District goals to grant opportunities and coordinate the delivery of services for student through grand and other special funding in all school settings.To manage and report grant expenditures upon completion of the grant life.

In addition, the Grant Coordinator is directly responsible for overseeing the 21st CCLC program’s operations for the 21st CCLC school sites. The primary areas of focus will be the coordination of program development and implementation, staff development, management of the after school academic and educational enrichment programs for youth and families, and the fiscal management of the grant.

**Qualifications**

**Required**
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in grant or proposal writing or/and in-school or community based out of school time experience.
- Must be able to obtain a Department of Public Safety (DPS) Identity Verified Print (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Knowledge of 21st CCLC after school programs at the state and federal levels.
- Skill in calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and technical support skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to work within specific time frames.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Applies principles of logic to a variety of intellectual and practical problems.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to maintain rapport and composure with parents, students, staff, and the public.
- May be required to work outside normal working hours.
- May be required to travel to perform work functions.

**Preferred**
- Master’s degree in Education or related field.

**Essential Functions**:

- Articulate the 21st CCLC Vision, Mission, and Objectives to staff, administrators, students, families, and community leaders to generate support in identifying problems and generating solutions through collaborative discussions in regular meetings.
- Coordinate the 21st CCLC Program implementation at each site with the Site Coordinator, appropriate District Administrators, and participating Site Administrators.
- Plan, create, implement, and evaluate all aspects and policies of 21st Century Community Learning Center for school students and families.
- Manage and document program logistics, including but not limited to each center and the overall budget, policy, equipment, contracts, program participation, safety, timesheets, and data.
- Attend and participate in all required 21st CCLC Trainings, webinars, conference calls, meetings, and school related activities at the school sites and administrative offices.
- Provides leadership to ensure understanding and promotion of the educational goals and objectives of the district, guiding the development, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of all assigned grants.
- Actively seeks out and develops partnerships with business and other agencies/entities to support the sustainability of grant-funded projects.
- Directs the creation and editing of publications for grant project guidelines and materials for distribution to appropriate district staff.
- Keeps abreast of developments in federal, state, and privately sponsored projects and provides information to district leadership to determine the appropriateness of the projects/programs for inclusion in the district’s educational program.
- Leads in the development and coordination of the sections of the budget pertaining to grants projects as assigned. Monitors budget expenditures and regularly communicates budget status to school and district-level personnel.
- Keeps district administration informed and apprised of needs, activities, and effectiveness of projects.
- Monitors the district’s grants projects to assure budget and reporting compliance.
- Coordinates the grant-funded programs at each of the schools with principals and assigned staff.
- Works with principals and other administrators in developing, monitoring, and evaluating both school-based and district level grants’ projects.
- Provides for parental and staff involvement in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the grants’ projects.
- Seeks additional funding sources to better serve the needs of students.
- Completes and submits all exit reports and requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
