**NATURE OF WORK**:
Performs skilled mechanical work involving installation, maintenance, repair, and revenue collection of electronic and mechanical parking meters/pay stations. Additional duties include; coordinating meter rentals, restriping of parking garages/lots, installation or replacement of signage/barriers, and occasional landscaping. Work is performed under direct supervision and is reviewed while in progress and upon completion for accuracy and results obtained.
**Minimum Requirements**:
Parking Meter Technician I:
High school graduate, plus one (1) year mechanical or electronic experience, preferably in meter maintenance** required**; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Polygraph examination **required** prior to employment. Valid Florida Driver's License **required**.
VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE.

- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree
