You’ll be responsible for knowing and acting in accordance with Barrett’s vision to WOW our customers, partners, and fellow employees with every interaction.

**The Position**:
The Automated Storage and Retrieval System (AS/RS) Attendant, reporting to Assistant Operations Manager/Warehouse Supervisor, supports the operation of an automated material handling system by closely monitoring warehouse mission executions. This role has the responsibility of diagnosing and resolving physical, and IT errors.
This position works from 5:00am to 3:30pm, Wednesday
- Saturday

The compensation range for this position starts at 50K per year, depending on experience.

**Your Day-to-Day**:

- Ensure the efficient operation of the AS/RS and segments associated with the machine.
- Execute warehouse concepts successfully by properly following automated processes.
- Observe WMS/Savanna screens, clearing conveyor or S/RM equipment faults, tucking stretch wrap tails, restacking product from broken pallets, and jogging pallets that have missed their target position.
- Recognize, review and recover faults and assist in driving continuous improvement to remove future loss.
- Timely and efficiently monitor system for possible liabilities and clear machine faults under the direction of an SOP which may call for product to be moved physically in order to resolve machine faults.
- Complete regular PM (preventative maintenance) checks on automated equipment.
- Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Act as liaison between operations and automation provider by reporting dysfunctional devices and problematic instances.
- Follow all Barrett policies and procedures regarding safety, sanitation, and order processing.
- Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**What You'll Bring to the Table**:

- High school diploma/GED preferred.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working with automation systems preferred.
- A basic understanding of mechanical and basic automation skills preferred.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English (Bilingual Spanish/English skills preferred).
- Must be able to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
