Lactose Plant Operator

Job Summary:
12 Hour Shifts: Wednesday-Friday and every other Saturday 7pm-7am

Training will be performed 7am-7pm.

We are seeking a skilled Lactose Plant Operator to join our team. As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used in the production process. Your role will involve monitoring and adjusting equipment settings, performing routine maintenance tasks, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant.

**Duties**:

- Operate and monitor all equipment in the facility
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is functioning properly
- Create and execute the production schedule according to incoming orders
- Manage incoming and outgoing freight, including forklift operation and required paperwork
- Ensure the production meets Torkelson Cheese Co. standards for quality
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

**Skills**:

- Experience operating heavy equipment, such as tankers or other industrial machinery
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform repairs efficiently
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 48 per week
