Road Manager Railroad Operations

**Primary Purpose**:
**Principal Duties**:
- Manage the day-to-day railroad operation while supervising agreement (union) employees.- Provides support in investigating accidents and injuries to determine the cause and minimize future occurrences.- Local customer visits- Responsible for the on time inbound and departure of freight trains- Plans the operation of local trains to provide required service to customers and fulfill service requirements.-
- Develops, motivates, and trains employees who work in the assigned territory.- Advanced knowledge of the territory as well as customers and train duties.- Ability to understand and accurately interpret work orders.- Makes decisions that directly impact overtime and crew productivity.- Responsible for developing and training any Road Supervisor that may work under them.

**Job Related Experience**:
Minimum Level: 3-5 years Preferred Level: 5-8 years

**Education**:
Preferred Level: Bachelor's Degree (BS)

**_Preferred Majors:_**- Business_- Business - Transportation Operations / Logistics_

**Technical Skills**:
**REQUIRED**: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
- Preferred:_
- Brio, Crewcall System, TYES_
