**Job Title**: Volunteer Engagement Specialist
**Reports To**: Executive Director
**Location**: Walpole, MA (Hybrid position)
**Part-Time**: 20 hours per week

New Life Furniture Bank of MA (New Life) is a dedicated nonprofit organization providing essential furniture and household items to individuals and families transitioning from homelessness, escaping domestic violence, and recovering from disasters. As a volunteer-driven organization, we rely heavily on community involvement to achieve our mission.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Program Management**: Oversee the operation and success of New Life’s AmeriCorps VISTA Program.
- **Volunteer Recruitment**: Actively recruit and engage volunteers for the AmeriCorps VISTA Program and broader New Life programming.
- **Support and Development**: Provide ongoing support to AmeriCorps host sites and service members, ensuring a positive and productive experience.
- **Event Coordination**: Organize appreciation events and team-building activities to foster a sense of community and gratitude among volunteers.
- **Training and Supervision**: Ensure that all volunteers receive comprehensive training and are well-supported in their roles.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in volunteer management and support.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to effectively engage with donors, prospects, staff, and volunteers.
- Demonstrated passion for our mission and a commitment to impacting the community positively.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Availability for occasional evening and weekend commitments.
- Must be able to pass a federal background check.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $21.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
