Barista (Vox Kitchen)

**LOCATION: VOX KITCHEN**

**Role: Barista**

**Job Type**:Part-time, Full-time

**Pay: $16-$18 Plus Tips (Depending on Experience)**

**SCHEDULE**
- Part-time, Full-time
- Day shift: AM to mid afternoon
- Night shift: mid afternoon to closing
- Weekend availability
- Holidays

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the staff have adequate certificates.
- Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide prompt and friendly customer service, engaging with guests to ensure a positive experience.
- Educate customers on our menu offerings, including coffee origins, flavor profiles, and brewing methods.
- Operate and maintain coffee brewing equipment, espresso machines, and other tools with precision and care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area, including brewing stations, condiment stations, and serving areas.
- Restock inventory, monitor supply levels, and place orders as needed to ensure adequate stock of ingredients and supplies.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow during busy periods.

**Job Requirements**:

- Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
- Possesses basic math skills, can handle money accurately & efficiently, and operate a cash register.
- Strong Attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Fully comply with the health code.
- Food Handler Card certification training hours are provided (if needed).
- Responsible Beverage Service license (if required).
- 1 year experience in customer service or food service role preferred.
- Flexible/Adaptable schedule. Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
