Pembroke, United States Mass General Brigham - Urgent Care Full time

_**Bonus - We're offering a generous sign-on bonus of $750.00 to welcome you to our team. Recognizing and valuing exceptional talent, we're eager to discuss the exciting details of this bonus during our interview process**_

**About Us**

Brigham and Women's Harbor Medical Associates, a member of Mass General Brigham Medical Group, is a multispecialty, primary care practice with more than 65 physicians. We have several offices across the South Shore and are affiliated with Brigham and Women's Hospital, Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center, and South Shore Hospital.

We believe that patient care comes first. Our physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and support staff recognize the importance of prompt, expert, and compassionate care for patients whose needs span from general health maintenance to treatment for complex medical problems.

**Our Team**

Urgent care, sometimes known as walk-in care, fast care, or express care, is a convenient option for patients who require timely medical care, but the situation is not an emergency. We treat adults and children ages 6 months and older and provide care for a wide range of illnesses and injuries, including allergies, asthma, coughs, bronchitis, colds, flu, COVID-19, fever, headache, broken bones, sprains and strains, eye and ear infections, rashes, cuts, sexually transmitted infections, stomach pain, diarrhea, and vomiting. Because patients typically come to us when they aren't feeling their best, it is incredibly important to us that our staff members strive to provide the compassion and emotional support our patients need.

Our Fast Care/Urgent Care Center located at 15 Corporate Park Drive in Pembroke, MA. Our center is staffed Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 8:00pm, Saturdays from 9:00am to 4:00pm, and Sundays from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

**The Opportunity**

We are seeking a full-time, 36-hour Medical Assistant. Since Urgent Care is a 7 day per week operation, the schedule for this role will include weekday shifts, coverage every other weekend (both Saturday and Sunday), as well as some holidays.

As true clinical support partners to our providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the care team. Responsibilities include:

- Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office
- Assisting during office visits (rooming/vitals, examinations, procedures, immunizations, and treatments as directed)
- Performing clinically appropriate tasks related patient panel management (administrative support, phone calls, test results, prior authorizations, coordination of care, etc.)
- Maintaining neat, clean, stocked, and safe exam rooms and patient care areas
- Interacting with patients and their families in a professional and courteous manner consistent with their needs.
- We do our best to keep all employees in their assigned departments; however, you may also be asked to float to other departments in the building during orientation (for training/precepting purposes) or during times of staffing shortages/other extenuating circumstances (for cross-coverage purposes)._
