**Commercial Sales Representative Position**:
Growing energy consulting firm providing LED lighting retrofit services to retail, industrial, farming, multifamily, hospitality and healthcare industries is seeking commercial sales representatives. Strong concentration in the Midwest but expanding Nationally.

The Commercial Sales Representative is an important member of our high-performing sales team. The focus of this position is to develop and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing commercial clients. Must be able to work to develop a deep understanding of customer requirements and create & present winning sales proposals.

The focus of this position is towards commercial clients and is designed as a sales and market building position that will provide account level leadership to identify and qualify prospects, create proposals, and execute sales excellence.

**Responsibilities**:

- Participate in one-on-one, phone and in-person sales meetings.
- Develop and execute innovative sales strategies
- Responsible for growing new commercial accounts by demonstrating and selling LED lighting solutions to accounts of all sizes while continuing to drive revenue in our existing customer base.
- Coordinate full sales cycle from initial prospecting to signed contracts through ongoing account management.
- Conduct extensive research to understand potential clients' goals, objectives and challenges - fully understanding our distinctive difference in the marketplace.
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts through proper reporting in the company’s agency system.
- Provide input to continually improve the overall sales process and tools.
- Develops and nurtures strong customer contacts and positive, proactive relationships with channel partners and dealers/contractors ensuring open streams of communication.
- Investigates competitor products, promotions and sales strategies.
- Maintains competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies.
- Participate in marketing activities (e.g., industry trade shows, seminars)
- Update knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading trade journals, maintaining personal networks and participating in industry organizations

Skill Sets:

- Understand various rebate programs offered in your region
- Strong experience with lighting retrofit projects helpful but not necessary
- Experience with selling performance contracts and/or large retrofit projects
- Strong prospecting skills

Experience/Education:

- Commercial Sales/ Account management experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred

Skills/Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years of directly handling complex sales cycles with mid-large accounts.
- LED lighting and or lighting sales experience preferred.
- Proven and verifiable successful track record in sales in a fast paced, results oriented culture.
- Comfortable calling on executives, owners and line employees for both business and technical functions (e.g., C level executives, financial managers, property managers and energy/facilities managers)
- Experience with and understanding of CRM systems.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills in working with customers, partners and teammates across all functions
- This position may require occasional travel throughout North America (US and Canada).
- Demonstrated ability to be effective while working remotely, e.g., from a home office, and while traveling

**Pay: $60,000 - $100,000 average 1st year compensation**

**This is a 1099 commission only position**
