Grow mRNA manufacturing market share by winning new customers within a defined geographic territory. Reports to Director, Commercial Strategy and BD.
- Identify prospects, perform need analysis, identify opportunities, initiate contact, gain access, sell the services, and follow up to close them.
- Promote CDMO Services experience and expertise to prospects and customers.
- Generate sales from assigned Territory to achieve individual and team targets.
- Grow mRNA manufacturing market share by winning new customers within a defined geographic territory.
- Increase market penetration that is measured by an increase in, new contact meetings, signed Confidentiality agreements (CDA), Request For Proposals (RFP) activity, and proactive proposal submissions, win rate, and customer retention.
- Create new sales opportunities within assigned territory by researching, analyzing, and monitoring news articles, PR announcements and trends in the industry to generate potential contacts and leads.
- Participate in marketing activities to generate leads and build brand awareness to then increase market penetration, including creating and maintaining of marketing materials and representation at trade shows and conferences
- Be a hunter and aggressively cold call on customers in your assigned territory.
- Efficiently and effectively interact with different teams daily including Customers, internal project managers, scientists, upper management, legal, and accounting.
- Maintain compliance with Quality System procedures and company policies
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor

**The Successful Applicant**
- Degree (B.S. or M.S.) in molecular biology or biochemistry
- 1-3 years relevant industry or lab experience depending on education level.
- Previous sales experience in the biologics/large molecule space a plus
- Strong understanding of the industry - companies developing large molecule/biologics assets
- Strong work ethic, self-motivation, high organizational skill, and ability to adapt in a dynamic team environment are keys for success.
- Excellent professional communication skills (verbal and written) and attention to detail.
- Professional proficiency of Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), experience or fluency with CRM systems and business intelligence reporting platforms
- **Travel**: 40-50% with domestic and international/ regional travel expected.

This position is ideal for:
Work Location: Ideally lives in San Francisco Bay area, or San Diego.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
