Delight Pastry is looking for a Baker to prepare different types of pastries and a wide range of french desserts, croissants and Danishes. Baker responsibilities include opening the bakery early in the morning, mixing dough, preparing fillings and glazing pastries. To be successful in this role, you should have work experience as a Baker using creative techniques. Ultimately, you will make sure we offer fresh and delicious goods to our customers on a daily basis.

**Responsibilities**
- Bake and decorate pastries, including croissants, cookies and sweet rolls
- Track food supplies Prepare and bake a variety of pastries and desserts according to recipes and standards.
- Decorate pastries using various techniques such as piping, glazing, and icing. Ensure the quality and presentation of all pastry items
- Assist in the preparation and execution of catering orders. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Familiar with scaling, mixing, and emulsification methods. Must be able to work on your feet for extended period of time. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Highly organized and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks/diverse duties while determining appropriate priorities for their completion. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and creativity in pastry decoration.
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role
- Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
- Flexibility to work in early morning shifts
- Certification from a culinary school is a plus'
- 'Hours per week**:35-40 for full time position 24-30 hours for part time position ** Typical start time: 4:00-4:30 am

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
