**Job Summary**:In this role, the Quality Technician will Support and conduct testing and inspection activities; provide training; calibrate inspection and test equipment; conduct receiving inspection of raw materials and drive continuous improvement.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Burn Test Process - collect samples, cut to size, anneal and prepare samples for shipping to burn test facilities. Receiving, reviewing, and recording burn test data into ERP system.
- Send out internal communications to appropriate groups regarding testing completion, delays, or failures.
- Retain Samples - collect, cut to size, organize, and store retained samples from each production lot.
- Provide training on inspection methods, inspection equipment, Product Specifications, SQRs, work instructions, representative samples, RMR samples, and other relevant topics.
- Conduct raw material inspections. Review and enter the COC data into the ERP system.
- As directed, monitor replacement orders during production to ensure that the issue is not repeated.
- As directed, analyze returned material from RMRs.
- As directed, validate embossing rolls.
- Conduct random product audits based on the appropriate acceptance sampling plans, inspection methods & equipment, and Product Specifications & SQRs.
- Support Production by performing specific inspections and tests, including drop-dart tests, shrink tests, and color for metallic products.
- Calibrate inspection and test equipment and maintain calibration database and calibration records storage.
- Drive continuous improvement of SEKISUI KYDEX products and processes through the use of quality tools and statistical techniques.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Basic Qualifications**:

- Associate degree in a Quality, Science, or Business preferred
- Equivalent experience of at least 2 years in the plastics industry in lieu of a degree

**Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Experience in the Production and/or Quality space is preferred
- ASQ Certified Quality Technician is preferred
- Ability to impact through influence and across functions
- Anticipates risks in scope and can successfully navigate ambiguity
- Able to coordinate and manage projects within scope
- Engages others, builds relationships, and creates networks outside team. Checks in with different people to understand the bigger picture.
- Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
- Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
- Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
- Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.

**Travel Requirements**:

- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, as necessary
- Travel between North and South Campus facilities required

**Physical and Mental Requirements**:

- **Light - **exerting up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force frequently constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of force greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work.
- **Color Acuity -** to perform this job successfully, the individual must pass the Color Acuity Exam administered by the appropriate personnel.

Pay: $47,600.00 - $71,400.00 per year
